Dennis Crowley B.Sc.(Hons)

Dennis worked for many years in sales and general management positions in the chemical industry, initially in England, followed by France and Australia. He has been involved in the autism community since 2005, and was a board member of Autism Victoria (now AMAZE) for four years (2008-12). 

 
Robert Klupacs B.Sc. Dip. IP Law
Robert is a registered Australian patent attorney with over 28 years of corporate experience in the international technology development arena with a particular expertise and focus on translating bench research into commercial products. He is currently CEO of the Bionics Institute, Executive Chairman of the commercial development advisory company, Magdajano Pty Ltd and a director of a number of other science based companies.
 
 
Michael Stapleton B.Bus, M. Fin
Michael is a director of Business Development and Marketing Consulting firm LUX Mentis. He has worked at a senior level for a number of global professional services and facility services organisations including Ernst & Young, Minter Elllison, DLA Piper, ISS Facility Services and DTZ. Michael was also a financial journalist for many years with news agencies Reuters and Dow Jones.
 
 
 
 
Amanda Cumberbatch B. Bus. CPA
Amanda is a CPA certified accountant who has a diverse background in different industries. She commenced her career in the retail sector in Perth, before moving to London where she worked for FTSE 100 companies. She returned to Australia with her family, settling in Melbourne. After years in the corporate sector, Amanda has now shifted her sights to running her own accounting firm and pursuing more community focused endeavours. 

 

Nicola Horvath B.Sc.(Hons)
Nicola is currently working with the ASPREE project at Monash School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. She has qualifications in physiology, psychology, and cognitive neuroscience.
 
 
Alexandra Coupe B.A.
Alex Coupe is a senior marketing and communications professional with over 20 years working in the healthcare sector, including senior roles with multinational pharmaceutical and medical device companies. She is passionate about ensuring that Australians understand the importance of investing in, and supporting, discovery and translational research, in order to help discover the cause of health conditions such as autism, as well as develop the right treatments and interventions to improve the lives of those most affected.
 
 
Anna Parle B.A.
Anna Parle specialises in government communications and is Director of Community Resilience at the Department of Premier and Cabinet. She was recently appointed Victoria's Chief Resilience Officer and  advises government on issues relating to social cohesion and social policy development. Anna sits of the Australian Government's Advisory Working Group into the prevention of violent extremism. As a strategic communications specialist, Anna brings a wealth of government experience to the BioAutism board.
 
 

 

Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC)

A Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) has been established to advise the board about the most cost effective key projects for funding consideration that will advance understanding of the causes of autism. The SAC will also provide advice to the board on advances in autism research to enable website updates of its scientific content.
